An Obama-Gingrich debate would be very interesting. But the idea that Obama cannot debate without a teleprompter is belied by the fact that polls judged him to have been the winner in all three debates he had with McCain.
More than that, those same sycophants will play up the idea that Gingrich is a great debater who has lots of recent experience debating while Obama has been busy shooting hoops, playing golf, going on vacations, undermining the country saving the world instead of honing his debating skills. It'll be set up as David vs Goliath, where Obama by simply having the nerve to go up against such a fearsome opponent should be viewed as a victory.
Nevertheless, Gingrich IS a tremendous debater and would brilliantly lay out the case against Obama to a public that have by and large only heard the defense's side of things. Also this time (and i think for the first time in his career) Obama will have to run on and defend his actual record. And Gingrich should no trouble tearing his record apart, both in the debate(s) and on the campaign trail. No amount of spin on Obama's or the media's part will be able to completely mask the fact that he failed miserably to live up to his promises and that there's no reason to think his new promises will work out any better.
