Always like your posts, and alway snotice you’re pro-Palin.

I don’t think most people really know just how knowledgable and how plugged in to the conservative movement and the GOP Newt is, What his history is.

People don’t know about his history with GOPAC, arguably a tea pary precursor. From the 80s through the mid 90s Newt was in charge of recruiting GOP Congressional candidates, of running the farm team basically. Hundreds if not thousands of potential GOP candidates throughout the country all listened to these tapes he’d put out on policy and strategy. Even Santorum mentioned it at the debate this week. Just google Gingrich GOPAC tapes and you’ll see.

Newt worked with Frank Luntz and others to develop the language/framing that led to 94 revolution.

Newt was House whip and had to know every GOP Congressman and every district.

Regardless of how you feel about him personally, objectively few if any people alive today, and certainly no in the current GOP field even comes close, have been as connected and have as many ties to conservatism, the party, to fighting for conservatism, to developing the ideas, to recruiting the candidates, to coming up with the strategies...as Newt does.

If this comes to down to Newt vs Romney for the conservative base and who connects with them better...it won’t even be close.

I woudn’t be surprised if Newt wins rather easily in FL and then you see Romney withdraw so the establishment can put up someone else to stop Newt.

They’re already preparing for it:

Adlai Stevenson, 1952; Chris Christie, 2012?

A very astute post.

Experience is going to count more than ever. Newt has it in the areas of idea generation, preparing ‘road maps’ and identifying strong potential candidates and knowing those who can fill the big shoes in the next administration. His command of history will serve him well. I don’t see a more knowledgeable candidate. I want someone that will have it together on day 1.
