Iowas Republican Party will count this years caucus results at a secret location in response to security concerns, according to multiple reports.
The Occupy Caucus movement, organized by Occupy Wall Street protesters in the Hawkeye State, is gaining steam and could potentially disrupt the caucus votes taking place next week.
The Iowa GOP is taking additional safeguards to ensure the caucus results are tabulated and reported to the public in an accurate and timely manner, Iowa Republican Party Chairman Matt Strawn told CNN.
Occupy Iowa protesters met Wednesday to plan a week of protests timed to hit the Iowa caucus. The caucus protesters voted to go big starting Wednesday afternoon, staging protests outside Mitt Romneys Des Moines campaign headquarters and a Wells Fargo bank building, according to The Des Moines Register. President Obamas reelection campaign headquarters is another possible target later this week.
The protesters have pledged to remain nonviolent, calling the movement the Peoples Caucus and seeking to draw attention away from the 1 percent candidates and back to the 99 percent supposedly represented by the movement.
Iowas caucus is set for Jan. 3. Most of the GOP presidential candidates, including Romney, are in the state for a last push before the first vote of 2012.
These people are starting to become a real annoyance.
They have evidently gained organizational experience from the antics that they were allowed to drag-on and infest on the American people by the RAT/Socialist-appeasing mayors of this country. Now they are going to use that on the 2012 election process throughout the country.
They are a vocal and anti-social minority that is being allowed to infest our country.
The “Occupy” folks may be disappointed to find that they will have been upstaged by the Paulians who are the original caucus “occupiers.”
All the more reason to ask ourselves why a blue state with more or less open caucuses (anyone can register at the event itself) consisting of 120,000 people, is allowed to have such undue influence on the nomination.
I mean no disrespect to Iowans, but the fanfare is simply absurd and way out of proportion to the importance of the election. Anytime you see the words “Iowa Caucus” there should be an accompanying asterisk: *Not a scientific survey.
>>>They might want to be somewhat careful in Iowa. It’s not Massachusetts.
I’ve heard there were arrests at Willard’s HQ... 10; 7 at Willard’s, and 3 at Wells Fargo bank...
The commie moonbat attention seekers were busy today:
There is a big live broadcast tomorrow at Java G's coffee shop near Court Ave. It has Chris Matthews, Andrea Mitchell and 4 others doing live segments there; starting at 4:30 I think.
I will be glad when the circus moves to another state! Fun to watch for awhile; but after while it gets old.
A bunch of folks ned to show up near the coffee shop and randomly blast air horns... do unto them kind of thing :)
