Larry Sabato, an election prognosticator, predicts another candidate may jump in the race in February. He also says the Republican nominating process may go all the way to the convention in late summer.
Sabato says since a lot of February primaries have moved up to January not much is going on voting-wise that month. This may lead to another candidate, Republican or third-party, jumping in the race.
"I think for the Republicans, they would go back to the big stars who said no. Chris Christie," Sabato said on FOX News this afternoon. "We'll go over this many times between now and the convention. You might as well get used to it."

Christie could be ready for 10K road racing by February too, but I doubt he’ll do that either.
No more islamized, gun grabbing, baby killing RINOs, even if they do stand up against public employee unions.
Christie is NOT gonna get in. How does he dream up this s___?
There. Fixed it.
no. Chris Christie
OK, that part I agree with.
Any sentence with the words ‘jump’ and ‘race’ attached to the subject of ‘Chris Christie’ should contain a satire warning.
Why would Christie jump from being the most powerful governor in the nation to being a presidential candidate, that has about a 10 percent chance?
Christy couldn’t jump over the edge of a carpet.
In this universe or one of those alternate ones? I’d believe the latter.
LOL..that would be so rich if he did. He makes a big fat production out of not running, endorsed Romney, and then throws Romney under the bus by jumping in to a contest he abandoned., Can you imagine what this will do to Ann Coulter?? That anorexic bleach blond’s head would explode if her fat boy former flame(out)got back into the race at the expense of her newfound love Mittens. Then again watching her head explode might make his reentry worth it :)
LOL - Great news! The democrats could use a shake up.
Please don’t ask Christie to jump.
Women, children, and small animals could get hurt.
Plus Japan doesn’t need another earthquake right now.

God....I can’t breathe....
...and just who will vote for Christie?
There’s a reason he didn’t enter in the first place, and I don’t see whats changed all that much since then.
The elite are so desparate for a moderate to keep the status quo while they all line their pocket with Lobbying money they are grasping at Christie. Nobody is interested in that RINO. Larry Sabato is an idiot.
Desperate they are! No doubt the establishment would love to defend themselves against their toast for a future that comes with a Newt presidency. Newt may have a few paybacks of his own he may wish to impose. Nevermind their snitty efforts to throw him overboard. It is simply too late, I believe. Voters are not in the mood for tricks, October surprises in January, or various other imposing measures of desperation RINOS may contemplate in order to keep themselves firmly ensconced in power and worry free. We want them desperate, and un-ensconced, removed entirely in most cases, and VERY worried at minimum. Newt is the ONLY name who has come close to worrying them. I like it.
CORRECT.
He’s a RINO R-I-N-O RINO.
