Will Sarah Palins intensifying rivalry with Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) cause the former Alaska governor to run for president?
The first female Republican vice presidential nominee clearly believes she is the one who has paid the heavy dues by bearing the brunt of the liberal elite attacks to help build the tea party, social conservative wing of the GOP.
Palins bus tour had some of the hallmarks of a primal scream: I built this constituency, not Bachmann, not anyone else, she said. Looking at it through her eyes, she has a point.
But in 1932, former New York Gov. Al Smith must have felt a similar jealousy believing he tilled the fields four years earlier only to find his protégé Franklin D. Roosevelt positioned to reap the rewards.
In this same way, certain elder pols clearly felt that Sens. John F. Kennedy and Barack Obama had not waited their turn and leaped over more deserving, seasoned leaders. Though the Democrats are far more likely to jump the line than Republicans traditionally have been. And that must make all the latest attention on Bachmann doubly infuriating to Palin. Republicans are expected to wait their turn!
But Palin clearly understands that her brand would be threatened if a presidential campaign by the upstart tea party sweetheart gets traction.....

Well, the left seems to think rivalry between Palin and Bachman is “intensifying”. It is all in their heads. They want there to be a big cat fight but there is not going to be one.
If they been doin' some mud slingin' they need to stop. And git right to the mud wrasslin'.
What idiocy.
It just doesn’ sound like something Sarah would say.
The pitiful writers *MADE IT UP*.
Gov. Palin is extremely disciplined and she is going to do what she wants to do it when she wants to do it. Period.
I beg to differ with the first sentence. There has been no mounting competition from Sarah’s standpoint. Sarah has not hired a viscious old RINO retread to attack Michelle. It’s just the opposite. Michelle has been paying for a hatchet job to be done on Sarah, who has not yet even declared her candidacy. If there is any blame, or anything untoward going on, the criticism should be aimed at Michelle; not Sarah. The opening sentence, as-written, seems to be blaming Sarah for whatever increase in tensions there may be.
I couldn’t find it in anywhere on the internet except for repostings of this article.
I built this constituency, not Bachmann, not anyone else, she said.

Doesn’’t sound like Sarah. Has anyone researched where this quote came from? Or did this author make it up out of whole cloth.
It just doesn sound like something Sarah would say.
Wanna bet that this “comment” was not recorded? LOL Bob
Sarah Palin’s Divorce Shocker
MB is disgraceful, and she claims to be a Christian? Attacking her sister in Christ Sarah Palin, who has campaigned for her....MB is behaving like a tramp, I have no use for her!
I’m glad that my local supermarket recently decided to get rid of ALL of the supermarket tabloids.
The writer was projecting what Sarah Palin’s tour bus was all all about...Palin never said I built this constituency, not Bachmann, not anyone else,
Champagne, ice cream, and smart food? Ballin.
