I follow Joe Monahan’s blog (however lib-leaning it is), but I don’t think Martinez is likely to be a Gubernatorial nominee, but she’d probably be better suited to running for Lt Governor or Attorney-General.
You make an interesting point. Of course, all of the GOP candidates seem to be second-tier in terms of name ID. Ms. Martinez would make a good Lieutenant Governor running mate, based on what I’ve read about her.
