This is exactly why RINOs—and their apologists, including Cornyn—are so dangerous to conservatives.
I agree. I think the real message will get through, when we retire McCain, Cornyn, Graham... the list goes on. We need to put these folks out to pasture in the primaries, then get some great new blood in there.

I have never understood how Cornyn got elected to anything, for he is so low-key (vanilla is more exciting than he) as to be unrecognized by the great masses. I guess he wins because the opposition is so much worse.
