How does the GOP appeal to these voters and not abandon its principles?

$6,000 per year per student refundable tax credits so parents can send their kids to private schools.

The Republican Party is worthless when it fails to stand strong for the Right to Life of innocent pre-born babies.

As long as Democrats have the media, Hollywood and a public that is dazzled by celebrity working against them they will be walking in the political wilderness. I seems to me that Democrats have everything going their way. They have been able to marginalize Republicans and make them seemingly
irrelevant. They have been able to paint them as Jesus freaks.
Our society is making religion more and more passe, but we
Republicans keep invoking God at every turn. Whatever Republicans do or say is ridiculed by the democrats and we seems unable to counter this. Look at how Pelosi has been able to avoid the issue of accusing the CIA of lying, a Republican would never get away with that. The political double standard has become the coin of the realm and nothing Republicans do or say can change it. Look at what they have done and are still doing to Sarah Palin. They have conveniently blamed Wall street for the financial problems plaguing the world and absolved themselves of any wrongdoing IE Barney Frank, sub prime mortgages. The only hope we have is for Obama to screw up in a hopeless manner,
he seems to be headed in that direction but it will take something monumental to bring the general public on board and right the ship of state. So far it looks like socialism will be tolerated. He may get a little too bold and dictatorial even for his own party, let's hope so.

As long as the media is on the side of the Dems, the war is lost. As long as the public is fed the Democratic propaganda by the willing press we don’t have a hope in hell. The guys putting it out there, the Limbaughs, Hannitys, Levin and a few other radio talk show hosts and they will soon be shut down if Obama and the libs get their way. The general public and of course the lemming libs don’t see this yet, not only do they not see it, worse yet, too many libs agree that they should be shut down. They don’t even see the irony of their own stupidity, how do you fight that?

I think that President Obama may have made "secession" to be an extremely attractive proposal. At some point, all those tea parties may be a harbinger for an eventual revolt, especially if he's able to get reelected despite overseeing a terrible economy.

All other Presidents were canned for their terrible economic management, e.g. President Bush 41 and President Carter just to name a few.

it was WHITE people that voted barry in ...WHITE adults and WHITE young people....

he won by a margin similar to what Bush won with...IIRC....he had illegal money or so it seems....he had the SRM at his beck and call...he had McCain trying to LOSE the race...he had Soros and his cronies destroy the economy or so it seems....

yet with all that, he didn't massacre McCain....he didn't..

the fact is, after 8 yrs, a candidate of the different party is ususally considered to have an advantage.....

just remember who voted him in.....it was the stupid WHITE people....not the Latinos or the blacks...

If the GOP can’t get it together, there will be secession and war in the coming years.

There will be secession, but war is not likely.

The leftists can't stomach fighting a war against islam, much lest against Texas and Louisiana, and Idaho.

I can't see their big gay army doing much damage.

Which people were the Founding Fathers "wise enough to not enfranchise"?

Non freeholders and those under 21 for starters.

Look at the Constitution, the states had the power to decide who voted and it took 4 Constitutional amendments, Motor Voter and McCain-feingold to get the socialists to where they are today.

Hell even that's not enough for them, they are hell bent on making it easier for illegal aliens to vote as well.

As a result, this Republic will fall.

In the new Republic, only taxpayers, property owners, and veterans will have the vote.

Single moms and those on any form of government assistance, convicted felons, morons, and those under 21 not in the military need not apply.

Alexander Hamilton 1775

[Hamilton is quoting Blackstone’s Commentaries, bk. 1, ch. 2:]

"If it were probable that every man would give his vote freely, and without influence of any kind, then, upon the true theory and genuine principles of liberty, every member of the community, however poor, should have a vote… But since that can hardly be expected, in persons of indigent fortunes, or such as are under the immediate dominion of others, all popular states have been obliged to establish certain qualifications, whereby, some who are suspected to have no will of their own, are excluded from voting; in order to set other individuals, whose wills may be supposed independent, more thoroughly upon a level with each other." -- From http://www.vindicatingthefounders.com

John Adaams

But let us first suppose, that the whole community of every age, rank, sex, and condition, has a right to vote. This community, is assembled—a motion is made and carried by a majority of one voice. The minority will not agree to this. Whence arises the right of the majority to govern, and the obligation of the minority to obey? from necessity, you will say, because there can be no other rule. But why exclude women? You will say, because their delicacy renders them unfit for practice and experience, in the great business of life, and the hardy enterprises of war, as well as the arduous cares of state. Besides, their attention is so much engaged with the necessary nurture of their children, that nature has made them fittest for domestic cares. And children have not judgment or will of their own. True. But will not these reasons apply to others? Is it not equally true, that men in general in every society, who are wholly destitute of property, are also too little acquainted with public affairs to form a right judgment, and too dependent upon other men to have a will of their own? If this is a fact, if you give to every man, who has no property, a vote, will you not make a fine encouraging provision for corruption by your fundamental law? Such is the frailty of the human heart, that very few men, who have no property, have any judgment of their own. They talk and vote as they are directed by some man of property, who has attached their minds to his interest…

I should think that wisdom and policy would dictate in these times, to be very cautious of making alterations. Our people have never been very rigid in scrutinizing into the qualifications of voters, and I presume they will not now begin to be so. But I would not advise them to make any alteration in the laws, at present, respecting the qualifications of voters.

The same reasoning, which will induce you to admit all men, who have no property, to vote, with those who have, for those laws, which affect the person will prove that you ought to admit women and children: for generally speaking, women and children, have as good judgment, and as independent minds as those men who are wholly destitute of property: these last being to all intents and purposes as much dependent upon others, who will please to feed, clothe, and employ them, as women are upon their husbands, or children on their parents…

Depend upon it, sir, it is dangerous to open so fruitful a source of controversy and altercation, as would be opened by attempting to alter the qualifications of voters. There will be no end of it. New claims will arise. Women will demand a vote. Lads from 12 to 21 will think their rights not enough attended to, and every man, who has not a farthing, will demand an equal voice with any other in all acts of state. It tends to confound and destroy all distinctions, and prostrate all ranks, to one common level.

John Adams

So you are saying that single moms should not be allowed to vote?

Only single moms that pay income or property taxes or are veterans.

Same thing with single dads.

I was hoping we would not still be ‘graced’ by the words of McCain as we have been but he just will not go away.
