[Please note: In a separate article from a major paper in Chatannooga, which was mentioned by another FReeper, it was reported that an idictment was not included in the first batch released today - HOWEVER, the author of the other article also made the point that sometimes indictments are granted, but held for days, or even weeks before being released. So, this is not the "be all, end all" statement from this Federal Grand Jury. I will try to get more information on this ASAP to share... [NOTE: I know there has been a LOT of controversy surrounding this particular skit. Many conservatives are up-in-arms right now about the "incest joke". Now, reading the way it is presented in some news outlets (WND in particular) I would be inclined to agree with them - if I hadn't seen the video when it aired on Saturday. It is clear to me, at least, that this was in NO WAY a slam on the Palin family, and had a lot more to do with exposing the serious idiocy of the NYT staff covering Palin. How they brought it up, and the ending where the reporter writes a book about it is a perfect example of how ridiculous (and DISGUSTING) a lot of the charges against Palin have been. For gosh sakes, there are so many hits against the NYT "elite" reporters in this skit that I really don't see how people could be so insistent that this was some kind of back-hand slam on the Palins. At any rate, if you'd like to actually SEE the video, and then have all the facts to make up your own mind about who was really being skewered here, please take a few minutes and follow the link above this long "note"!
