IS DICK MORRIS SECRETLY PAID BY HUCKABEE?;
Ron Gunzburger's Politics 1 ^ | December 2, 2007 | Ron Gunzburger

Posted on 12/02/2007 9:24:38 PM PST by 2ndDivisionVet

According to The Politico, New York Post columnist and FOX News contributor Dick Morris has been secretly advising former client Mike Huckabee on his Presidential campaign. Morris claims he is acting in an entirely voluntary capacity by simply offering free advice. Keep in mind that nationally syndicated columnist George Will was pilloried by the media when it became public that he had secretly and voluntarily helped Ronald Reagan prepare for his Presidential debates in 1980. A prominent national GOP insider tells Politics1 that he believes Morris -- despite his claims to the contrary -- is paid for his services through Huckabee media consultant Dick Dresner. According to the source, Morris purportedly gets piece of all Huckabee campaign polling revenues, media commissions and consulting fees through money paid to Dresner's firm. Explaining the relationship, Huckabee told one GOP pollster: "I feel like I want to take a shower after I meet with him, but Morris is a smart guy and I need him." This is, of course, part of Morris' revenge strategy against the Clintons. The toe-sucking political consultant has never gotten over being fired by President Clinton in 1996 and Morris wants to prove he can put anyone from Arkansas in the White House. Morris was previously Huckabee's consultant during his statewide runs in Arkansas. If these allegations of funneled payments are true, it raises questions as to whether the NY Post will allow a columnist to take fees from those they write about ... and if FOX News will allow their analyst to be taking money funnelled from a Presidential campaign. Most importantly, how will Evangelical voters react to having the escort-using former Bill Clinton strategist secretly directing the Huckabee campaign.

Dick Morris is as wrong as incest most of the time. He’s full of sh*t.

I think Morris is interesting...but I also think that he’s feeding clintons advice.

Chuck Norris is still cool even though he is supporting Huckabee. His brain is just taking a small vacation.

I’d love to know if this is true. Unfortunately, we need someone who is willing to go on the record. Anonymous sources don’t leave us with much.

What difference does it make? The man is almost always wrong about everything. Even a fake psychic who sucks at cold readings has a better track record of predictions.

I can pinpoint the reason the toe-sucker would love F*&^abee-the toe-sucker had someone in his family die of lung cancer, and they were a smoker-ergo, it had to be caused by the smoking-therefore he DESPISES the tobacco companies. He is RABIDLY an anti-smoker. I personally heard the little weasel say that on FOX. He also said that they’re killers(he used that word) and he wants to do everything in his power to put them out of business. He was personally the one who, behind the scenes, got the Klintons to start the war on smokers once they took office. He figures both the Huckster and Sweet Hillary (and Bill) want a national smoker ban, so my guess is, his blind personal hatred is forcing him to hedge his bet somewhat. Since this personal vendetta means more to him than anything else , he’d win whether it was the Klintons or the Huckster that took office. Just my opinion, but I believe it to be true and I’m sticking to it.

Huckabee was questioned on this issue yesterday on ABC's This Week with George Stephanopoulos. The video is posted here. If you want to "fast forward" to the question about Dick Morris, its at the very end of the third segment.

That’s a huge stretch. It’s more likely Morris has other political motivations.

Remember, Dick Morris worked very closely with the Clintons for many years. That is enough evidence to conclude that anything he says could be the exact opposite of what he thinks.

What rank are you, Dano? Do you belong to the organized Huckabee Special Forces?

"In the Special Forces, you are building your platoon that can work on tasks to help get Gov. Huckabee elected--from the basic such as sending out e-mails to the more difficult ones like standing up in front of a group and coherently saying why Mike should be the next President.

Each Special Forces member can earn rank, but rank is earned by merit (what you've done, how many you've recruited...stuff like that.)

Spamming FR should earn you the rank of Secretary of Defense, unless that is already taken?

No way. His hatred of Hillary is real. She could very well be responsible for getting the prostitute story (via her secret police).
