OK I'm not a AKan why is Murkowski so unpopular?

Breaking promises about taxes is one reason, though I imagine there are others. I'm also not an Alaksa resident, so I don't know the answer.

I'm not an Alaskan, but I know many from living in the Puget Sound area. From talking to my friends, his broken promises on tax issues are big, but so is Murkowski's role in reversing the states legality of simple marijuana possession.

The attitude is Murkowski is a control freak, big nanny government type who is a practitioner of nepotism.

He's failed opening ANWAR, fisheries are under constant attack, while the citizens view Big Frank as a member of the "Beltway".

That don't sit well with the fierce individualism and pride of being Alaskan the citizens there possess.
