First Democrat Policy Change (vanity)

I posted this on another board:

As of November 3, 2004 it is no longer a prerequisite for a presidential candidate to be a Vietnam War veteran. The old policy was in place for most of 2004 but has been rendered inoperative due to a change in circumstances. However, the DNC reserves the right to reinstitute the policy depending on the situation as it presents itself during the campaign of 2008.
