The Biographical Directory of the United States Congress is available online if the URL is a bit off. It is a government publication that records the basic facts of the life of every man who has ever served in Congress. It is a gold standard reference work. In the entry for John Forbes Kerry he claims to have been the District Arrorney of Middlesex County. This is an important elective executive office. He was not. He was appointed to the post of Assistant District Attorney, one of many, by DA John Droney. This sort of hype is typical of John Kerry. Note, also, that the Bibliography section does not mention his book, The New Soldier. John Kerry should have been an editor for the Great Soviet Encyclopedia. His flexibility is that good.

His Bibliography is also wrong. It only lists Kerry, John. A Call to Service: My Vision for a Better America. New York: Penguin Books, 2004. It omits for some reason Kerry, John The New Soldier
