Where do you think the millions of leftists will go if the current democrat party is pushed off the map? They'll join up with the liberalized version of the GOP, which would effectively become identical to the old democrat party.
What I'm saying is, you can't expect to neutralize the liberals by inviting them to dilute a party designed to represent conservatives.
