Looks like no one wants to win the Big 12 North.

Well, OSU's curse was even longer. I happened to be at that game last year, and I'll tell you now what I told them then. Once every 24 years isn't anything to write home about.

I'm afraid Solich, the NU coach, isn't long for his job, if this sort of thing continues though. Too bad really, he seems like a nice guy, but he'd just not Tom Osborne or Bob Devany, but then again, not many people are.

I have been a Mizzou fan for quite some time. I was at the game in 96 (?) when Mizzou came so close to knocking Nebraska off, when they were ranked no 1. The famous "kicked ball" in the endzone game ! That was truly a heartbreaker. Unfortunately, I could not make it to this game but did catch it on the tube. It is truly a sweet moment for a Tigers fan !!!!!!! Awesome !!! Coach Pinkel is going to do wonders for this football program. That fake field goal was as gutsy call. Wow!!!!! Finally, after all these years of frustration, failure, depression etc.. we beat those pesky huskers !! Onward, to Oklahoma boys !!!!

Mizzou demoted Newbraska to the "Little Red of the North".

Go, Big Red of the South.

I watched the game, rooting for Missouri all the way against the hated Cornhuskers. But now ......

Go Sooners!

I, too, was at that game with two of my children. It's the only game I've been to since 1977.

"he'd just not Tom Osborne or Bob Devany, but then again, not many people are."

Sadly very very few even reach their caliber! Especially at Bob Devany's level.

I read a book on the ranking of the football teams in the 20th century, and it ranked the 1972 Nebraska Cornhuskers as the very best. bob Devany said the guys on the team just got together and everything clicked! How's that for humility?

Doesn't really sound like Devanny, except maybe for public consumption. I was there in '72, graduated in '73. That was definitely the "Golden Age", or at least the first one, the second one coming under Dr. Tom. (he really does have a PhD, and now he's Congressman Tom, 3rd district of Nebraska)
