Freedom's Cry

Most of us never deal with a soldier’s gun in our face,
Telling us that if we wish to practice our freedom that we can’t do it here.
Most of us don’t live in fear, running from place to place,
Living a life in defiance, one that stands for so much that you live in constant fear.
There are people that we fight for, to allow them freedom’s cry,
People that our young men and women are willing to fight for and maybe even die.
These brave men and women stand up for their freedoms and lives,
While shameful morally bereft people call them things you wouldn’t call your trash
We must protect them, and theirs, their husbands and wives,
From the constant barrage of the horrible bias and media bash.
We must stand up for them, and protect their names and their rights
So that when they come home to loving and caring arms
They know they were defended as they defended us in their numerous fights.
So that they may return unmolested to their homesteads and farms.
Remember, these are the men and women that sometimes sacrifice it all
All for freedoms name, all for someone to be able to live freely.
Protect them while they protect us, that is your duty, and that is your call.
God grant that we stand by them, so that their families are never needy,
Grant that we fight for them, as they live and die
So that all might know the wondrous feeling of freedom’s great cry.
