Okay, call it a guilty pleasure but I'm watching te Joe Schmo show right now and it's HILARIOUS! Much better than Joe Millionaire. The show is about a bunch of contestants living in the "Lap Of Luxury" but what one of the contestants, Matt Kennedy Gould, doesn't know is that the other contestants are all actors. And he is coming off like a...schmo. Yes, it's cruel...but HILARIOUS!!!

What's the contest? Is it like a big brother kind of thing where they are going to vote each other out or something?

Kind of like Big Brother except instead of being in some silly house they are living in a mansion. However, they are about to evict one of the contestants. What makes this show HILARIOUS is that only one of the contestants thinks it is a real contest. The other "contestants" are all actors making the real contestant come off as a schmo. Yes, it's cruel but anybody who enters these "reality" shows nowadays should expect the worst.

Spike TV. Coming soon to a cable access channel near you.

Joe Schmo just did something unexpected. I guess he didn't want to get too "excited" over the porn star. You have to see the rerun to know what I mean.

I've never even heard of Spike TV so I guess I'm out of the loop. As far as reruns go, this is all that my memory can conjur up.

I just watched a few minutes of it. What struck me is how STUPID the schmoe guy is. WOW!

It remains to be seen how "stupid" he is. It is a very elaborate hoax. I'd bet that one way or another he is going to be laughing all the way to the bank at some point.
I've been watching it. It does kinda have that "car wreck in progress" kind of feel. You kinda cringe when watching it.
I hope he has the last laugh.....

He seems stupid probably because he does not know the great lie.
Come on, I dont think I would be able to find out that everyone is just a bunch of actors if I were in his shoes. SURE there are a lot of fishy signs but, for him it is like a honeymoon. He's probably so excited to be on TV and on a show that everything that contradicts his reasoning is rejected so he remains happy. From the audiences perspective everything makes sense. He will have to figure out the paradox that he is in.
Give him some time to move past this phase. He will figure it out or go crazy fighting for 100k.

I agree with you lawgirl...Poor Matt. Its hard not to laugh though.
I thought that the army dude was going to give it all alway with his under wear mix up.
I don't know how those actors don't burst out in laughter, I mean I was rollling on the floor laughing. I had tears in my eyes.
I just hope poor Matt will get lots of compensation for all the humiliation he is being put through.

I don't know how those actors don't burst out in laughter, I mean I was rollling on the floor laughing. I had tears in my eyes. I thought the guy playing the smarmy host would burst out laughing when he recited this when expelling Gina (who I also thought would burst out laughing when giving her bitter farewell speech):
"Ashes to Ashes,
Dust to Dust,
Leave this House,
You're Dead to Us!"

I am freaked out!
On the preview for next week's show, they are talking about not being able to carry on any further. Ack! They can't do that to us PJ!
I wonder what the heck caused that. Maybe someone is nearly blowing it?????

I don't think (Matt) the Joe Schmo is dumb or anything I mean I wouldn't automatically suspect that everyone is an actor just because of some slip-ups, and all reality shows are so ridiculous and over-the-top. If anything the actors are dumber than he, always making up contradictory stories and unable to keep track of things. wtf.
As for that last message, I think they have at least ten shows or something, and maybe he's all sad cuz they kicked Kip out or something. lol man I do almost feel bad for the guy though, as he's all nice and everything to everyone.
However, though the show has already ended, I'd strongly prefer for them to not so much "reveal" the big conspiracy, but continuously purposely slipping up and until the guy finally either have some sort of mental breakdown or come to the conclusion by himself. Hah.

Oh Tamby, I think that would not be fair to poor Matt to let him crack or discover the truth on his own...Funny yes, fair no.
He is far too nice of a guy to let suffer. I actually feel sorry for him.
Yahoo! New episode tonight!
