Israel is in the valley of dry bones, and the reason to support them is not because they are righteous. They are partially hardened, we are told. That has not changed simply because a lot of time has passed.

The reasons to support Israel has to do with you who are Christian, not those still in unbelief. In believing the old line about blessing those who bless them ... even if you cannot see it.

Let the Lord deal with the next stage of the prophecy.

That may be your view, and that of the particular Evangelicals you associate with, but it is far from what many other Evangelicals believe, especially those who hold to popular forms of Dispensationalism, many of whom copiously post here on FR. I am only expressing what I hear from them, so you can take it up with them.

There was abortion in America when the Nazis were mass murdering, the Japanese were mass murdering, the Maoists were mass murdering, the Khmer Rouge were mass murdering, and there’s abortion here while Hamas is mass murdering. I can fight abortion here, and abortion in Israel, all the while choosing God’s people over the evil of Hamas. It’s called faithfulness, and I’m not giving it up for Satan, or Alinsky, or Hamas, or frankly for you.

we, those brothers and sisters i associate with most closely in our local church, believe in one Word, and one Gospel, and everything i stated in this thread is backed up by my and our leader’s best current understanding in the Spirit of that Word. of course, we can be mistaken. if you can point me to Scripture or teaching that butresses your point, i’d be glad to take a look.

it is also my understanding as confirmed by many outstanding expositors of that Word, in particular Brother Vernon McGee and his tour de force teaching in Isaiah come to mind. haven’t a clue about where you’re getting your view of evangelical teaching—that current Israel could be in the millennial kingdom phase as described by the Prophets of the OT and by Jesus in the NT, and thus for instance ruling all nations put under it with Jesus as King? then what happened to the Tribulation as posited by our Lord. no—that proposition is ridiculous on it’s face, and no serious student of the Bible could entertain it as biblical Israel. no, i would suggest that such a person would be woefully ignorant of Scripture or worse, one with a different agenda than our Lord’s.

I don’t think the article title captures the issue; it just stirs the pot pointlessly.

If/When Hamas rapes/guts women in America in one of those predicted terrorist attacks we’ve been warned about, I certainly will support America and Americans even though portions of America permit abortion.

Since Hamas has displayed such demonic violence on defenseless civilians, and is certainly proud of it, I support Israel’s right to protect its population, whether or not portions of Israel permit abortion.

Support for America is not the same as support for abortion. America needs to survive in order to reject abortion and all other acts which earn God’s indignation.

Being against the bloodshed of Hamas is not blanket approval of everything America or Israel laws allow, foreign policy etc. - far from it.

MAGA supporters support America, and Trump, and not abortion which is allowed in some places by law.

Few people have understood the dymamic between leftist middling jews, and Orthidox Jews ( the real Jews).

sounds pretty clear to me. sometimes a bold statement has to be made to shine The Light on the devil’s worst, but most enticing, Scripture twisting, lies.
