Another Corporate Playground.

The taxpayers that funded this sure won't be at any future Super Bowls held there.

If it starts raining really heavily, and I see pairs of animals heading into that stadium, I’m grabbing my swim trunks and running.

What's a cubit?

That picture shows the building almost abutting the Art Institute of Chicago. Can't think of anything more off-putting than listening to screaming while trying to enjoy the peace of mind that comes from looking at art. The entire area includes underground parking below the park. But doubt even that is enough to handle stadium crowds. A main bus line fronts the complex on Michigan Avenue. Talk about crowding in a commercial area that was being wrecked anyway by blatant thieves.

It seems the useful life of stadiums keeps shrinking.

I think it was about 20 years ago when they completely rebuilt Soldier Field for the Bears. Now a 20 year old renovatation is just nit good enough?

They got a little over 30 years out of the new Comiskey park for the White Sox , and now the White Sox are agitating for a new Stadium.

If no public money were involved none of us could object too much to private businesses building new facilities as they see fit. But they are asking for Hefty public subsidies for little if any public benefit resulting from such an investment
