Original Splenda is derived from sucralose. It’s artificial. I had an experience with Splenda (in form of Equal packets) in an airplane galley once and swore off that stuff for life. My coworker was on galley duty and plugged in all the food carts for breakfast, thinking we were serving omelettes (“yellow flotation devices” in airline lingo). When we pulled the carts out to start the service, we realized that catering had put little plastic cups of pre-pack cereal on the heating elements. I lifted one up and this tar-colored black goo was underneath the cup. It was from the Equal packets they had put underneath the cereal, which then got heated and transformed into this disgusting sticky black gunk. We were really lucky the stuff didn’t ignite.

I looked it up and saw that Splenda makes a version that includes Stevia. I wouldn’t trust anything manufactured from that company, TBH. They surely put their chemicals in everything.

Stevia should be all natural and organic. Check your products for non-GMO labels. If you are getting a bitter aftertaste, you have used too much. Stevia in coffee only requires 2-4 drops for starters and add more until it’s to your liking. If you are getting some other aftertaste, it’s probably not true Stevia.

I saw a TV commercial for Splenda talking about their “stevia fields” and realized it’s all the same stuff.
No aftertaste just terrible leg pains. Not cramps just pain. as soon as I gave up the sweetener they went away.
but thank u.
