Quite depressing program on the BBC.
Conservatives promised in 2016 to reduce levels of net migration from 300k. It is now doubled to 600k+. (per year) despite Brexit and having more control.
They played video of ministers promising to cut it...
They lied.
The minister says "We have seen conflicts in Ukraine, Syria and Afghanistan".
This was his excuse.
Now talking about graduate work visas introduced despite recommendations made by experts who said it should not go ahead.
All in all, legal migration has exploded under the Conservatives to 1.44 million (a year!)
They've been handing out visas like candy and to recipients dependents, too.
They lied! Worse than GOPe! And when the election comes will get a good kicking at the ballot box
They have had the same problem we’ve had since the end of Thatcher and the beginning of John Major.
He was a disaster.
The Tories are going to take a severe beating in the next general election which will green light the Labor Party to double the current level of immigration into the UK
The incompetence of the Tories can’t be written off, in many ways they are worse than the alternative
Like the US the UK and most of the western world is doomed
They did one good thing. They got out of the EU. But they failed to reform the welfare state in the UK. They need to do what Javier Milei is doing in Argentina. Trim the fat. But the Tories are statistics. They believe in everything about the welfare state. They think there's nothing wrong with the NHS.
Zero. They need to be punished and go to zero.
If people keep making excuses for these guys and “Labour is worse” etc they will never change.

YES. Labour are worse. Very telling when the BBC asked for comment for this show they said they declined!
The problem will compound under the “alternative” but people are fed up of the Tories and that is the cycle of politics.
The vote to get out of the EU was led by Nigel Farage who was not part of the Tories, most of the Tories were not really for getting out, David Cameron at the top of the list.
Javier Milei is an aberration, basically a new party, which is possible in the UK, the Tories need to ground down to near zero, the only way to become a viable opposition to the Labor Party is to be destroyed first and even then it might not be enough.
