I’d estimate that 80% of the commercials now are big pharma medications for one thing or another. I have to wonder how much of that is programming for Americans ... to constantly see drugs advertised and make them think they’re needed.
Dependency on prescription drugs is still dependency. And I know both of my parents and several other family members had (emphasis on past tense) a dozen or more pills they “supposedly” needed to take every day to stay alive. Both parents ended up on dialysis, btw.
The result is... I loathe even having to take an aspirin now. But until they come up with a super-bug that kills kidneys, mine seem to be fine... so far.
TV’s not safe for anyone.
It’s where brain cells go to be propagandized before they die.
