The previous-generation iPhone is still a firm favorite, but it hasn’t dropped much in price since the launch of the iPhone 15 for that very reason. Thankfully, various mobile carriers offer deals, including packages that’ll land you an iPhone 14 for free.

Here are all the carriers offering deals that get you the Apple flagship for no extra charge.

Where can you get a free iPhone 14?

The only way to get a free iPhone 14 is via a carrier plan — no one is handing them out with no strings attached.

These plans will have a minimum monthly subscription charge and may have other caveats, such as trading in your old phone. With that said, here are the carriers and retailers currently offering an iPhone for free when you sign up.

Verizon

Verizon offers up to $800 off the iPhone 14 with a new line on an eligible plan. You can even get $200 towards the cost of switching from another provider. To qualify, you just have to sign up for a select 5G unlimited plan on a new line, but promo credits are offered over the duration of a 36-month contract.

T-Mobile

T-Mobile has a few different deals on the iPhone 14, and some of them include getting the handset effectively free. Here are the salient offers, which both require a 24-month contract.

If you’re already with T-mobile, you can get the iPhone 14 for free when you trade in your old device and go for the Go5G Plus plan. New customers adding a new line can get the same trade-in deal on the less expensive Go5G Next plan. You can also get $700 off a second iPhone 14 when you buy one on a carrier plan, but you’ll need a plan for the second handset as well.

UScellular

UScellular only operates in certain states, but if you’re lucky enough to be in one of them, you can get an iPhone 14 for free without a trade-in. You’ll get $830 off with a new line, leaving nothing to pay. It requires a 36-month contract on the Unlimited Evolved Basic, Everyday, or Even Better plan.

AT&T

Honorable mention for AT&T, where you could often get the iPhone 14 for free, but not right now. The only promotion available on the handset is a reduction of the monthly payment to $5.99 if you commit for 36 months. You can also save as much as $500 via the standard AT&T trade-in program.

Apple iPhone 14

All-day battery life • Capable cameras • Great software support

MSRP: $799.00

The cheapest phone of the series

While the iPhone 14 isn't a massive upgrade over its predecessor, it's still a great phone overall. It has a great design, long-term software support, and a capable camera system. It also costs a lot less than the other phones in the series.

That covers all the main providers that will give you an iPhone 14 for free in the US. Just be wary of thieves when you’re out and about — you’re not the only one looking to get an iPhone 14 for free.

If you’re not sold on these devices, you can find several good iPhone 14 alternatives here.

That’s because of the taxes and fees and local add-ons that will be put on the bill......

Unlimited texts, calls. Limited streaming. They use the T-Mobile network. 2 years now, never a problem.

“The only way to get a free iPhone 14 is via a carrier plan — no one is handing them out with no strings attached.”

Then it’s not free. Free means without cost or obligation.

What’s the saying? “If you’re not paying for the product, then you are the product.”

You can buy unlocked new and used phones from Apple and 3rd-party selling sites, and then use them on any cellular network.

I've had several used iPhones, but currently have a new iPhone 15.
