Hollywood has reportedly received a whopping $25 billion in state tax incentives to date — a win for studios like Disney and Netflix but a big “L” for ordinary taxpayers, who are footing the bill for the giveaways.

Frequently championed by Democrats, state tax credits for movie and TV productions are intended to juice local economies by creating jobs and boosting revenue for small businesses that provide services like catering and transportation. That, in turn, is supposed to generate more tax dollars.

Kind of hard to figure out where to start.

In 2022, there was a question on the primary ballot if we, the taxpayers, wanted to keep funding the Hollywood tax break here in Georgia. I know how I voted, NO. Don't know many that are a fan of it and the ones that seem to be are Democrats and liberals that want the state flipped BLUE.

Most of the job-holders in that industry are from out of state.

Not a tax break should be given to any of them without the very large majority(60% at least) of the taxpayers vote on a proposal and approve it. POS Kemp, the Joint Development Authority, various Chambers of Commerce, and county commissions/city councils shouldn't the ability to approve this sh*t in secret.

A recent study state that everyone of these jobs in Georgia cost the taxpayers $160k per.

POS Kemp put out a PSA talking about them filmed "blockbusters" in Georgia. There are very, very few "blockbusters". Hell, when they filmed one of the Avenger movies and bragging about it, 2 scenes on a farm in Sharpsburg and an abonded street in Atlanta. Good thing we're wasting $1,500,000,000 on that.

POS Kemp and crew are happy to shell over $1billion, Newsome and California offered $300,000,000 to lure them all back to California.

If you voted for Kemp in 2018, I get it. I did given how it played out.

If you voted for Kemp in the primary you are not a smart person or you're just as corrupt like him, his pals and his puppet masters.

Anyone else now wondering if Hollyweird no longer exists to make money, but instead exists to launder money for Deep State...?

North Carolina ended tax incentives for Hollywood in 2014. So Hollywood decided to move to Georgia instead.

Good.

But despite the $25 billion spent so far, states are seeing paltry returns on their investment — sometimes less than 20 cents on each dollar given away, according to studies cited in a New York Times report.

spend more faster, that will fix it.

There should NEVER be ANY tax break for anyone, if it’s a Good Law it should apply equally to all persons all the time without ANY EXCEPTIONS.

See The Law, Bastiat

Yeah sure, Georgia is getting fleased by Hollywood. Yet if you used to visit Berry College; Floyd County, Ga. And over 50 movies had scenes from Berry, then you can sit back and enjoy the script. Sweet Home Alabama and Remember the Titans to name a couple. And then there is Covington, Ga. With those vampire TV shows. I mean like stay and see Georgia. They don’t have any glaciers or deserts yet most any other terrain is available . If you need alligators, they have got those too. Fun 4 everyone.

So, basically, the far left Hollowoodies don’t pay much taxes? It’s too bad America industries that produce for the good of the American people don’t receive billions in tax credits. Scoundrels have to look out for each other. Politicians and Hollowoodies are the same animal.

LAUGH BREAK Disney’s live-action revamp of Snow White has been delayed to 2025

According to The Hollywood Reporter last October, Disney has decided to push back the release date for its redo of the Walt Disney classic, Snow White.....now known as “Snow Woke.”

The delay is no doubt in response to the drubbing Disney got when they released images of Snow White alongside the classic fairy tale’s dwarfs.

While the lead actor looked more or less as expected, her seven companions all appeared to be portraying the DEI’ed seven dwarfs as a racially and physically diverse group of people, as opposed to a septet of people with dwarfism.

At the time, Disney scurried to emphasize to Vanity Fair that while those early photos were from Snow White’s set, they were not “official” and depicted “stand-ins” for some cast members.

Obviously, set photos aren’t always indicative of how a movie turns out, but does seem to indicate that the live-action Snow White is not going to take notes from the beloved 1937 Walt Disney film.

But given the approach Disney’s taken to updating its other remakes, it wouldn’t be at all surprising to see the new Snow Woke’s dwarfs looking like tricky woke cuties...... not like the story that made them famous.

It also did not help when Snow White star, Rachel Ziegler, made some deplorable woke statements about her movie character.
