Asking the Question Again: Is America a Christian Nation?
New American Prophet ^ | March 23 2024 | Dr. Michael Brown

Posted on 03/24/2024 6:10:48 AM PDT by Rev M. Bresciani

With the ever increasing warnings about the alleged danger of “Christian nationalism,” however ambiguous that term might be, it is only fair to ask: Is America a Christian nation? And, just as importantly: Has America ever been a Christian nation? And how does this relate to Christian nationalism?

It was. Easy way to prove it, look at school books, readers from the mid 1800s.

Asking the Question Again: Is America a Christian Nation?

The basis of every civilization is religion:

West: Protestantism, Catholicism
Russia: Eastern Orthodox
Latin America: Catholicism
Middle East & North Africa: Islam
India: Hinduism
China: Confucianism
Southeast Asia: Buddhism

In the past 5,000 years, there have never been any secular civilizations. If you drift to secularism or agnosticism, someone else will take your place!

God’s morality and big government’s morality are in conflict with each other.
Big government’s version has been slowly swallowing us for a long time.
Now it’s running full tilt, attempting to push God out of the picture completely.
Our demise as a sovereign nation is in progress, and I don’t know if it can be stopped.

I hate to say this on Palm Sunday Morning, but it is what it is.

Baal dwells here... too many abracadabra churichianty carnival barkers provide the misdirection as well intentioned dupes stumble through life without so much as cracking their careworn bibles open.

We few Christians left in this country don’t appreciate making light of the Gomorrah we are trying to survive in by asking asking such questions.

The Treaty of Tripoli was ratified unanimously by the US Senate in 1796 and signed by President John Adams. Article 11 of the treaty stated: “As the government of the United States of America is not in any sense founded on the Christian Religion...” As a ratified treaty that statement is US law under the US Constitution since 1796.

13 Colonies
Christ and His 12- check

50 states
Birth of the Church at 50 days- check

The question really isn’t if America is a Christian nation, but when did it turn into a Beast or a lawless Whore riding a Beast?
Or maybe more direct, when did it become serpent led?

And does the serpent ever get its tail grabbed and it transforms back into law and order and justice instead of its current lawlessness and just us?

Maybe the Church should be wondering the same thing

Only people are Christians. ONLY.

Nations cannot be Christian - and ours never was.

IT WAS FOUNDED ON CHRISTIAN PRINCIPLES! And its laws almost all based on them.

Most have been abandoned now.......

As an American, Jew, I hope we continue to have our Judeo Christian roots. But unfortunately, the evil people behind the scenes are trying to collapse the American way of life. They’re trying to kill off religion, they are trying to kill off family values. Look how many broken homes there are.unfortunately we do need to get back to our Christian roots. Again I am an American Jew. Unfortunately we do need to get back to our Christian roots.

And I could argue you see a distinct difference in those regions in how life is valued, the rights of men, etc.

The US was colonized largely by Protestant Christianity.

Latin American was conquered largely by Roman Catholic oriented countries.

The difference is clear.

The rest of the world goes without saying.

The US was colonized largely by Protestant Christianity.

Agree. But Europe has been clearly divided by northern Protestantism and southern Catholicism since the Thirty Years War.

No, and no, and it just shows they’re pretty confused. Really America was always supposed to be neutral, let people religion how and if they want.
