children are our life blood....they belong with us while we shop, while we pray in church, while we go to parks and zoos and YES even on airplanes when we go to visit relatives....

how about the old farts with their walkers and canes stay home because they slow us down so much?....not pretty when you hate on one group is it.

Well, she did say leave them at home if they are going to scream. It only took our children two or three times of leaving the grocery store or someplace when they miss-behaved to get them to figure it out.

Sorry - no milk for cereal because you couldn’t behave while I shopped. Of course it is also on the parents to take them when they can be at their best. Heck - my wife doesn’t want ME to go shopping with her if I’m hungry and/or tired!

But it is fairly obvious to me when a child is just being fussy because it is late at night or just being a brat because they didn’t get a candy bar or whatever. I used to shop late at night to avoid the crowds. I always felt sorry on the few occasions I saw a mom with a child or two getting her grocery shopping done at 11 pm.

Again I don’t blame the children because their parents don’t make them behave but these days that is how it is.

People don’t want mannerless brats getting on their nerves while they are out in public, more so when they are spending a lot of money for peace and quiet.

A wedding is not a birthday party. There are expensive decorations and other items there. The Bride and Groom shelled out thousands of dollars for it and they don’t want anything ruined.

I heard a story of parents who cut the wedding cake before the Bride and groom did just because their kids were hungry. I would hit the roof too if that was my wedding. There are “firsts” at a wedding that will never happen again and the last thing a lot of couples want is kids spoiling it all because their parents don’t know how to raise them.

Decades ago yes kids could attend but not anymore and it has more to do with bad parenting.

As long as you make your children behave.
