Russia is "extremely concerned" about what is happening in the Gaza Strip, head of Tatarstan region Rustam Minnikhanov said on Tuesday.

"Our country is extremely concerned about the worsening situation in the Middle East, the bloody fighting in the Gaza Strip, the numerous victims, and the huge humanitarian disaster there," Minnikhanov said, speaking at a meeting of the Russia-Islamic World group in Moscow.

Russia insists on the implementation of the decisions of the UN Security Council, first of all, for the establishment of an independent sovereign Palestinian state, he emphasized.

Minnikhanov also condemned the actions of burning of holy Quran copies in Denmark and Sweden in 2023, noting that such actions caused a wave of indignation in the Islamic world and were strongly condemned in Russia.

"The president of our country, Vladimir Putin, called such actions a crime. The Russian Orthodox Church described them as unacceptable vandalism," he underscored.

Minnikhanov noted that in today's "difficult time," in the context of a crisis in international relations, cooperation among Muslim countries is becoming particularly important.

"Expanding cooperation with Muslim countries is one of the priorities of Russian foreign policy," he stressed.

For his part, addressing the gathering, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey Rudenko said the events in the Middle East came to the fore of Russia's relations with the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.

"We attach great importance to strengthening friendly relations between the Russian Federation and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation

I hope that Hamass is “extremely concerned” such that they disarm and disavow Jihad.

Expanding cooperation with Muslim countries. . .

Like, in return for cheap oil for eternity--or else?

And it's "or else we take your oil fields themselves," right?

No, Russia spent many years under Islam.

It’s a part of their culture. Putin has been funding Islamic groups and financially promoting the expansion of Islam for years.

Another sound reason not to trust them.

Gaza is a very difficult situation.

The pali’s are given their own territory, millions upon millions of dollars, and spent the last 10 years using that money to build tunnel networks and arms. Not schools, not hospitals, not water facilities, not housing. Bombs.

They launched a surprise attack against anyone they could find on 10/7. It was not an attack on “occupiers”. It was a mass slaughter of unarmed civilians going about their day, ironically of the Israeli’s who sympathized the most with the pali’s.

Israel almost certainly had some warning, at least from their own surveillance, and allowed it. Probably so the current clearing operation could commence given that leading up to the attack, the pali’s regularly fired “dumb” rockets into civilian areas, kidnapped kids, blew up pizza parlors and weddings, etc. All prior efforts at living with the pali’s failed. No reason to believe another “agreement” would work.

Kids, women and non-hamas men are in the cross-fire. More accurately, they are used to hide the hamas guys in and among them, and in turn those people give haven and shelter to hamas. That’s natural since the hamas guys are the sons, fathers, uncles & cousins of the ‘innocent’. They do so willingly and knowing civilian casualties are guaranteed with these tactics.

The IDF tactic of wiping the battle field clean is shocking to see, but militarily the only real option when dealing with an intractable, uncompromising and committed enemy who cares nothing of their own family used as human shields, and whose family is ready to die for their allah. What a f*cked up belief system.

Where is the call for Hamas to surrender? They lay down their arms and the operation is over. That’ll never happen because the war, ongoing since the 50’s, is about extermination of the Jews and nothing less can be tolerated.

Israel has tried and tried, made agreements, reached accords, given money, handed-over infrastructure, allowed cross-border employment, treated their sick and wounded, and are repaid with bombs and calls for extermination.

How else do you fight that?

Rabid dogs are put down for a reason.

Russia is made up of over 80 ethnicities. Many millions of muslims. Not much choice but to condemn Israel if they want to avoid another Chechnya. Other than that, I doubt the russkies care very much. About as much as the average American cares about Ukeland.

Orthodox Christianity is thriving in russia, so thinking they’re secret muslims is a bit of a stretch. Use facts, not slogans, if you want to make a coherent argument.

Putin is in no position to help the Palestinians. It is probable his words are just empty rhetoric designed to appeal to the Muslim minority within Russia. He has his hands full in his war in Ukraine, which is entering a third year.

Kindly list the terrorist acts committed by those 10,000 dead children. Is a dirty diaper a terrorist act?

“designed to appeal” has the same outcome as “avoid inflaming” the russkie’s very large, and historically violent, muslim population.

Anyone care to remember Beslan? Where the muzzies took hundreds of elementary kids hostage at their school and slaughtered them until they were stopped?

How about the Moscow theatre? Same and same.

‘Don’t pull a tiger’s tail’ is the best explanation.
