When I was about 15 I worked in a pizza place. The owner accused me of stealing money from the cash register and grabbed me by the throat and made me empty my pockets. If I remember right I had $3. I went home and told my mom what happened. She immediately called the cops and had me tell them what happened. Needless to say I never went back to work ther.
Mom just happened to be the Chairperson of the Police Pension Board at the time. A couple weeks later a couple of cops met the owner as he was closing up for the night and gave him a bit of an attitude adjustment.
Later on we learned it was his own kid was who was stealing.
