The subtext re AI isn’t some outlandish robot conspiracy that will kill us all a la Terminator. It’s a search engine that gives us what we want that would normally take a huge amount of time, because it has collated and synthesized a huge amount of data. If Twitter manages this feat, it will crush Google. For stock investors, you might be able to pull IBM’s entire earnings history, compare returns on capital in different periods at the expense of merely being able to formulate the appropriate request. If Musk pulls this off first, Twitter will have been worth every penny.
