Russia’s plan of demoralizing the West by weakening support for Ukraine has begun to materialize in public opinion polling in Europe. Navalny supporters are now being forced into the Russian military to be used as cannon fodder on the front lines in Ukraine. Russia lost its seventh military jet in the last week.

The U.S. and Europe are prepared to back the Zelensky government as long as it fights Moscow to the last Ukrainian.

In June 1982, during the Iran-Iraq War, President Ronald Reagan signed a National Security Decision Directive which determined: "The United States could not afford to allow Iraq to lose the war to Iran." I don't recall anyone serious complaining about fighting to the last Iraqi. In fact Henry Kissinger said at the time, "It's a pity they both can't lose."
