Sarah Palin Hints About Wanting to Be Trump's Next Running Mate
Newsweek ^

Sarah Palin on Tuesday seemingly hinted that she would like to be former President Donald Trump's running mate in 2024.

Palin, who was John McCain's running mate during his failed White House bid in 2008, described what she felt would be the qualities of an ideal candidate for Trump's vice presidential candidate during an appearance on the Newsmax program The Balance.

"Trump needs to choose somebody who, like him, has nothing to lose. What more can they do to that person personally or verbal attacks or anything else on family?" she said. "That person has been through the wringer, so they know what they're getting into. And that person then can just focus on doing what's right for the people."

When Newsmax host Eric Bolling asked if she was just describing herself, Palin answered while laughing: "Not necessarily."

I like Sarah, but no. Been there, done that. Trump has many better options.

The VP nominee will be someone from a battleground state with a lot more electoral votes.

Agree. This would be a huge problem by turning off a large number of independent voters that Trump desperately needs.

He needs an attack dog not a 30 Pence lapdog. She would be a great pick.

We need her at the UN causing a ruckus over there and withholding dues until they get it right.

She was okay, but she’s long past her “best by” date.

Don’t worry, Donald Trump is actually forbidden under the constitution from choosing Ron DeSantis as his running mate, given that they’re both from the state of Florida and the constitution says that the nominees for president and Vice President have to be from different states.

McCain’s people sabotaged her and the campaign. The “fix” was in.

DeSantis has dropped out. There are a lot of people that supported him including myself. Continuing to attack him isn’t going to increase their desire to vote for Trump. I plan to vote for Trump but we’ll need all conservatives to do so to win. Continuing to attack him is absolutely stupid.

Sarah laid the groundwork for someone like Trump to come along. She was a lone voice of America First before America First was a thing. Before Trump, she and Ron Paul were the greatest patriots since Reagan.

Compare her with Kari Lake of AZ. Palin has been quiet “as a church mouse”, for quite some time now. Lake has been *effectively* stirring the pot in that time.

Again, it’s Trump’s choice, but assuming lake is showing signs of losing in her senate campaign, there are a bunch of cabinet posts she could work in. Palin, too, as long as she is willing and able to kick some leftist Democrat ass.

I like Sarah a lot heck my screen name is dedicated to her, but no, Trump needs to pick someone like Vivek or Elise Stefanik, or heck even Tulsi Gabbard, he has plenty of choices
