Wasn't ever 100%, but it was indeed overwhelming even using the data posted from conspiracy sites like "The Daily Expose" - they posted data showing, from a population that was 80-90% vaccinated in the UK, that supposedly the vaccine wasn't effective and actually made you were just as likely to be hospitalized because 50% of those hospitalized had been vaccinated and 50% had not been. That's obviously a false conclusion - if 50% of the hospitalizations came from 10% of the population not vaccinated and 50% came from the 80-90% vaccinated, then the vaccine was overwhelming effective in preventing serious illness and hospitalization, and it wasn't even close. So yes, I do indeed remember the "total lies and misinformation" surrounding this - those kinds of constant posts from obviously fake news sources were chief among them.
The problem with statistics is that everyone creating them had and has an agenda and a paymaster—which meant they had zero credibility.
When government grants put food on your table you have a conflict of interest and cannot be trusted.
My plan was a simple one—let everybody else be the guinea pigs.

But, preposterous as it may sound, “unvaccinated” included (according to the Federal Government) the recently (within two weeks) “vaccinated”.

My problems?
1 - The Fear Porn refused to accept natural immunity after having COVID.
2 - The shots were grossly overstated. Yes, they DID try to make it 100% and then, when effectiveness was obviously waning, wanted ever increasing numbers of boosters that had ever decreasing effect.
3 - They insisted people with virtually no chance of getting a severe case take the shots, to include trying to push in on babies - something they STILL are pushing.
4 - People lost their jobs over it. My DIL worked a COVID ward from the start until after the vaccines were out. In all that time, she never caught COVID - while working every day with COVID patients. She was FIRED for refusing the shot! Something like 15 months working a COVID ward without the shot, then fired!
A friend took retirement after 40 years with a company - he planned to keep on working another 5 years - because they would not accept his very genuine religious objection.
The shots were not as ineffective as some claimed. At least, not at the beginning. But they were not as effective as the proponents claimed, and the proponents caused people to lose their jobs. The follow up shots? Give me a break! What a waste of time and money. I never cared if someone wanted to take the shot. I took the first one, CAUGHT COVID 3 months later and then never looked back....
I’ll add this anecdote from before the vaccines: The husband of a friend in her 70s died of COVID early on. OK, he had a heart attack 10 years earlier and was told he had 5 years to live, and he collapsed in his yard clutching his chest, was taken to the emergency room and some IDIOT diagnosed “COVID”, was put on a ventilator and died without having his known heart issues looked at.
That IMHO was “murder”. They were more worried about “COVID” and blaming COVID for everything than the fact he had nearly died 10 years earlier from a heart attack and had all the symptoms of a heart attack!
His widow understandably is bitter. Also, she worked for Pfizer for 30 years selling their drugs...and she refused to take the shot. She later had some friends arrive from out of town, take sick, turned out to be COVID, kept them at home with her (the hotels would not accept them) and took care of them for the next couple of weeks. Did not catch COVID.
She finally caught it last year. Took some Dayquil and never slowed down. Remarried at 80 and is still going strong.
But...I think she is right. Her husband of 40+ years was murdered. And now they want a COVID amnesty!
The biggest flaw in those vaccinated vs. non-vaccinated was laid out here on FR by an M.D. who was working in a hospital at the time. He pointed out that vaccination status was entirely self-reported, and that his hospital had no way of confirming a patient’s vaccination status unless the patient was vaccinated in that same hospital system.
