“2 men charged after stealing utility cables that cut 911 service, internet in King County”

Prosecutors charged two men for allegedly cutting and stealing communications cables that cost $3,000 a foot. (KOMO TV)

“People look at this like a ‘property crime’, they’re stealing copper wire, but the impact is much much more significant,” Ernsdorff said. “What we’re seeing is 911 service being interrupted, people’s home medical devices that are supposed to be monitored are no longer being monitored.”

A couple years back thieves were stealing entire AC units outside of peoples and businesses...............
