Alexei Navalny's body has gone missing from the morgue where it was officially being held, his team have said as his mother arrived at the brutal IK-3 Polar Wolf penal colony this morning.
Navalny's lawyer, who arrived in the town of Salekhard with Navalny's mother on Saturday, called a number for the morgue and was told that 'Alexei's body is not in the morgue', as claimed by the prison where he had died, the team said on Telegram.
Alexei Navalny's spokesperson this morning confirmed the Russian opposition leader had died and said that his body is with investigators. Kira Yarmysh demanded that the body be immediately handed over the his family.
A document given to his mother claimed he died at 14:17 local time on February 16. Investigators today informed one of Navalny's lawyers said the cause of death is still unknown, Yarmysh said on social media.
'It's obvious that the killers want to cover their tracks and are therefore not handing over Alexei's body, hiding it even from his mother,' his team said in a post on Telegram.

Even if by some miracle he died of natural causes, they don’t dare hand over the body. He’s almost certainly underweight and has more than one medical issue that would be resolved with minimal care. Probably, quite an accumulation of them. But, most likely, he was killed by some chemical or bio agent that simply doesn’t occur in nature.
Oh, in Russia, natural causes include a bullet or a fall from an open window, despite the temperature being below freezing meaning the window probably wasn’t left open by accident.

In a statement quoted by state media, the federal prison service said Navalny “felt bad” after a walk and lost consciousness “almost immediately”.
“Medical staff arrived immediately, and an ambulance team was called,” the prison service said. “Resuscitation measures were carried out, which did not yield positive results. Paramedics confirmed the death of the convict. The causes of death are being established.”

I tend to believe no media anywhere. In the past, in the US, in a case such as this, we would have someone from family identify the body to confirm it is who they believe it is.
I have never said anything about trusting Russian State media either. Those are things you Zeepers assume or attach to people with nothing to prove it. You just say it to smear people who disagree with you. Kind of like the same thing you would say Russians do. Funny how that is, isn’t it? Must be that genetic tie. Russians/Ukes little difference.
No body? He may be dead, or maybe some entity helped him escape. But I would presume nothing if it comes from the Daily Mail or the NYT or WAPO, CNN, MSNBC etc. Either way, they would have to lie.
The Russians are sure weird about their dead bodies. They’re probably concerned that she’ll put him in a glass case.
