"White" IS actually a race, not an ethnicity.

Hispanics are of the white (Caucasian) race. Even Texas DL's reflect this.

Yeah, but you'll note that the police description is "White, non-hispanic".

Really difficult to wiggle your way around that one.

White is not synonymous with Caucasian.

Indians, Pakistanis, and Bangladeshis are all Caucasian, but most are not white.

So a third generation Peruvian born person of Japanese ancestry who natively speaks Spanish is “Hispanic”?

Most Mexicans don’t self identify as “Hispanic” but rather of regional/tribal ancestry.

How white do you have to be to still be white? 1/16th? 1/64th?

Race is Race - Sex is Sex - both genetic
everything else is everything else.
