Ambassador Rhoda J Elmi responds to recent comments by Ilhan Omar

We were profoundly surprised, even shocked on discovering the remarks made by Congresswoman Ilhan Omar (D) of Minnesota in a recent public forum, widely circulated on most social media platforms and attached below for your reference.

The language she employed was regrettably unbecoming of both the office she holds and the constituents she represents.

Her expressions were lacking in common decency and revealed a significant lack of understanding of basic facts. Specifically troubling, were her endeavors to revive the once-violent and dangerous ideology of Greater Somalia or Somali Weyn, which caused so much death, destruction and conflict in the Horn of Africa.

Furthermore, her use of ethno-racist rhetoric didn't escape attention and left many, with a deep sense of disappointment.

This was particularly bewildering for those who recall similar racist attacks she endured not long ago, of being ”not American enough” and was baffling to see her take a similar approach and accuse the entire #Somaliland nation of “falsely claiming Somali identity.”

Moreover, her ignorance of #US - #Somaliland cooperation in the fight against terror and piracy in the Gulf of Aden & Gulf Of Berbera was shocking to say the least. We hope the house leadership and her caucus will take note of her public conduct, unbecoming a United States Congresswoman nor representative of the august house she serves in.

“The language she employed was regrettably unbecoming of both the office she holds and ‘’’the constituents she represents’’’.”

Not hardly.

Actually, the Greater Somalia was concept for a very long time. Somalis are divided into four (formerly five) countries and they always tried to make it into one. In present day concept which forces boundaries to be fixed and nonnegotiable, that is taboo.
What is unacceptable. that Omar is talking about US being some kind of slave of Somalia?

Rhoda J. Elmi, the deputy minister of foreign affairs for the Republic of Somaliland—a small breakaway state on the horn of Africa that is not recognized by any foreign nation—tweeted a video of the speech with English subtitles that landed Omar, who had addressed the largely Somali American crowd in her native language, in hot water with critics.

She’s an Islamo/marxist Jim.

Nothing will ever change her psychopathic mind or behavior.

Thus,it is far more likely - though NOT CERTAIN! - that Rhoda J. Elmira of this indepenent Somali group - is far more accurate and justified in her comments and accusations than the media’s dear democrat Muslim terrorist sponsor from Minneapolis.

Oh, I see now.
This was recorded and translated by some Somaliland person in audience. Without the Somaliland, nobody would even notice
(I think, Hillary had demonstrated how great US translation abilities are. Remember the Russian RESET!)
Omar is praising herself, how she got US under control, on the side of Great Somalia. Of course, we all must do whatever she say.
Somaliland people are not happy!

And US people are understandably not happy either!

Well, most US people.
In lefties’ opinion, she is right, Somalia is a lot more important than US.

Even better. Republic of Somaliland was established in 1991 as constitutional democracy. Holds regular elections, and unlike most African countries, which usually have presidents for life, it went through 5 presidents during its 33 years of existence with peaceful transitions of power.

It is the successor of the former British Somalia!

Officially recognized by Taiwan only, but lately seems as becoming strategic partner of Ethiopia and USA in this volatile horn of Africa.

Obviously, our dear congresswoman Omar does not like that!
