Attorney General Merrick Garland will be out of commission this weekend due to back surgery and is going out of his way to make sure that there are no doubts about who will be in charge during his absence.

Garland, 71, will turn over his duties to the Justice Department’s No. 2 official — Deputy Attorney General Lisa Monaco — during the surgery and while he recovers from the anesthesia, Hinojosa said. He’s expected to return to work the following week, she said.

Lisa Monaco Will be in charge, officially, MMM. How many more investigations can she open into Trump, his former officials and supporters over the weekend? Of course this would leave Merrick’s hands clean…….. so he could actually testify to Congress truthfully with his Sergeant Schultz imitation….
Lisa Monaco is every bit as despicable as Garland.
I would argue she is the real nexus (one of several, probably) of the lawfare business from DOJ, not Garland. Garland has the title, but Monaco has been the "power behind the throne".

I had wondered about Monaco. Will she be even worse than Garland? There seems to be little hope that she will be better. Depending on how long he is out, it may not even make a difference.
Back surgery, he must have alot of back pain. The Lord works in mysterious ways.
