Hillsborough County just floated a ballot referendum last election to lump teachers into the "first responder" category to allow them to share a proposed additional homestead exemption, in an effort to keep talented employees from "leaving for greener pastures". How about that? Stupid voters passed it.
Where?
“segway” = “segue”.
Read somewhere that Gen-Zers aren’t lazy. They’re entitled.
Gen Z workers are lazy, some bosses say. They don’t do anything unless every second of their day is managed.

You must all be Hillsborough County teachers, correcting the mis-use of segway instead of segue. That’s about all you’re worth.
The less those kids are in school the better.
If you look at the very bottom of the linked page, you’ll see the school location.
I thought they quit manufacturing Segways.
No, we just know the difference in the two words. I assume it was AutoCorrect that made the wrong choice.

Whatever happened to those things anyway?
In short, it was a loser, never met expectations, got bought by a Chinese company, and they stopped making them.
However, here's an important footnote in the company's troubled history...
Segway was sold to British millionaire Jimi Heselden, chairman of Hesco Bastion in December 2009. Ten months after buying the company, Heselden died after he accidentally drove a Segway off a cliff.
Thanks for the info. Almost sounds like a Monty Python skit.
I was just thinking that there surely must be a way to enjoy a multi-day holiday & follow up with a few more legitimate sounding days off & eventually build it into a month long holiday. Kids would like it & I have a hunch that some teachers might also. The catch would be teaching that extra month into what should have been part of summer vacation.

Do you have a credible source?

Which is irrelevant.
