I don’t think he’s terrified at all. He has, belatedly, learned that permitting his obvious enemies to use him as an archery target makes absolutely no sense. If the opposition has criticisms they’re perfectly free to articulate them to the public via the leftist propaganda media, and Trump is free to respond to any of those criticisms or to none. His modus operandi is to present his views to the public and the public can respond to those views in the voting booth.

Apparently they are not good judges of what success looks like then. Because nothing about DeSantis gives the aura of success. He showed signs of having that, until he exposed himself as to who he really is. Just a politician willing to pretend, until his real masters took control of him. Then it became apparent that he is not a man with convictions & values, but is a man that will do or say whatever he is directed to do or say.

Had he kept up the pretense, he would not have gotten tot he presidency this cycle, but he would have walked into the Vice Presidency & taken the torch of MAGA.

I for one am glad he made the choice he did, because that is who he really is. I had my issues with Massie, but Chip Roy had me fooled too.
