Au contraire.

From Wikipedia:

Van Allen radiation belt

A Van Allen radiation belt is a zone of energetic charged particles, most of which originate from the solar wind, that are captured by and held around a planet by that planet’s magnetosphere. Earth has two such belts, and sometimes others may be temporarily created. The belts are named after James Van Allen, who is credited with their discovery.[1]

Earth’s two main belts extend from an altitude of about 640 to 58,000 km (400 to 36,040 mi)[2] above the surface, in which region radiation levels vary. The belts are in the inner region of Earth’s magnetic field. They trap energetic electrons and protons. Other nuclei, such as alpha particles, are less prevalent. Most of the particles that form the belts are thought to come from the solar wind while others arrive as cosmic rays.[3] By trapping the solar wind, the magnetic field deflects those energetic particles and protects the atmosphere from destruction.

The belts endanger satellites, which must have their sensitive components protected with adequate shielding if they spend significant time near that zone. Apollo Astronauts going through the Van Allen Belts received a very low and non-harmful dose of radiation.[4][5]

In 2013, the Van Allen Probes detected a transient, third radiation belt, which persisted for four weeks.[6]

You do realize that there is a vast difference between particles (that are trapped by the VA Belts) and rays?

Everything we know is on the electromagnetic spectrum (which graphic you supplied), but just because they are included, does not make them deadly.

Electromagnetic particles are not deadly to humans or any other life - when this trope started I don’t know but it must have been by some troll making up science to prove some stupid point.

You would have to linger in them for years in them to see any effect. Astronauts pass through them very quickly on the way to the moon or elsewhere in a matter of seconds or minutes depending on the speed and orbit chosen.

Read your wiki blurb again - “Apollo Astronauts going through the Van Allen Belts received a very low and non-harmful dose of radiation”

You must realize how fast they are going to transit the belts - do you tremble in fear of dental x-rays?

I read a long time ago that we cannot remake a Saturn V rocket, as all the drawings were on paper vellum and were discarded......................

I'm pretty sure that there are enough smart rocket scientists in the U.S. that can recreate the Saturn rockets, but even if not, we car recreate the moon landers and send them to orbit and to the moon with current rockets

Old technology and old science are not beyond the current minds. But still, getting to the moon doesn't have to be as complicated as it's being out to be.

Yes we could create a new Saturn VI rocket, but it would have to be from scratch. Blank sheet of paper/computer screen.

All the tooling, test jigs and fixtures would have to be recreated as well...............

Yes we could create a new Saturn VI rocket, but it would have to be from scratch.

Just go to the Kennedy Space Center and get the schematics. But, the moon lander can be recreated and sent up with a current rocket technology, with new fittings which should not be that hard to do.

I lived it and saw it live on TV. You just have false hearsay and a trope

“I have predicted for at least a year that Artemis will never land on the moon.”

If we can’t get the first black person and women and LBGTXYZ666 person on the moon our democracy will be put in peril.

See my tagline.

Lol.

So much money to be stolen—Artemis will never die.
