Former Republican Rep. Liz Cheney of Wyoming said she believes former President Donald Trump should be disqualified from being on presidential primary ballots across the country.
She added that there is no need to wait for a conviction or court ruling on the allegations that President Trump incited an insurrection to block President Joe Biden from taking office.

New idea. Your trials now are in the public forum, no need for due process or getting to the facts. They are guilty because Liz Cheney decided this......
If she was right, I suppose that would work for eliminating democrats too.
There is no insurrection language attached to requirements to be president in the Constitution in its entirety.
She lied because she is a liar.

And by the way, she is saying that any fool such as her can walk in off the streets, accuse someone of insurrection, and that person is not eligible to run for president.
Like many others in the deep state, she trys to blur the distinction between an accusation and conviction in a court of law. For her, an accusation is evidence, in her benighted mind.
This seems to be a big Democrat talking point right now.
The 14th Amendment seems to speak of “engaging in insurrection”.
It doesn’t mention a charge, a trial, or a conviction.
The Democrats are interpreting this as “if someone is of the opinion that you have “engaged in an insurrection” then that’s all we need and you cannot seek any office ever again”.
I’m pretty sure the Supreme Court will consider this a bit too sweeping.
By their actions, Liz and her fellow travelers have declared that they don’t care what the people of the US think or want. It’s all about her/them. They throw the word ‘democracy’ around, but want to deny the rights of citizens to elect who they want. She and those who think like her are the true threat to representative government and personal freedom - not Trump.
This Cheney sow should be imprisoned for her role in the ongoing coup of this Republic. No need for a trial, she gives fresh evidence almost daily.
Liz seems to have decided to give aid and comfort to the domestic and foreign enemies of the United States.
