It’s well known that he had a traumatic upbringing with his father’s alcoholism and drug addiction and PTSD from serving in Vietnam. Shia had a gun pointed at him during a flashback.
Shia also had to deal with his substance abuse and dealing with his own post traumatic stress disorder from his childhood.
Sounds like he got or was getting help for his issues
And no not that well known. But then I don’t give a flip about a star’s personal life
