“I grew up watching the Olympics and am thrilled to see the incredible athletes bring their A-game to Paris. It’s a celebration of skill, dedication, and the pursuit of greatness,” said Snoop Dogg in a statement. “We’re going to have some amazing competitions and, of course, I will be bringing that Snoop style to the mix. It’s going to be the most epic Olympics ever, so stay tuned, and keep it locked. Let’s elevate, celebrate, and make these games unforgettable, smoke the competition, and may the best shine like gold. Peace and Olympic LOVE, ya dig?”

I don’t get his attraction. Pretty much anyone seeing him walking down the street toward them would cross to the other side. But in my town, both the liquor store and an optometrist have posters of him hawking their products.

His gin sucks, but I had a straight sample. Wasn’t mixed with juice.

Oh, good, very good. Yet another reason why I won’t be watching the Olympics again this year.

Yeah... well.. that is not going to entice me to tune into The Olympics. I am sick and tired of the urbanization of our culture.... if you get my meaning.

They’ve hit rock bottom haven’t they? NBC has been losing their shirt on the Summer Olympics for years.
Yeah, think of who they're trying attract with this guy as their talking head. It means they've given up on every demographic other than rapping weed addicts.
To: asinclair
My question is: how many people still watch NBC? With cable cutting being a trend in 2023, is there still audience reach? That is true but... The Olympics is still one of the few events which draws a large audience.

A dude worth over 100 million who came from nothing in Compton. Married to his high school sweetheart.
And he smokes enough weed to get all of Idaho high.

He is a modern day Bob Costas: A sign that NBC is broadcasting yapping rather than sports so I should fast forward until sports come back. The Olympics are impossible to watch without recording it on the DVR so I can skip the commercials, the hosts and the heartwarming stories of the athletes dedicating their wins to a three legged pet dog named Hoppy.
