I wish they’d bring it back. Our town has now stopped treating for mosquitos for the past 6 years, and wow- they are unbearable now- folks,that used to come here every summer now,can’t stand to be here. You can’t go for a walk and enjoy it anymore. You can’t sit in a vehicle and open a window- if you do, within about 15 seconds you will have literally a couple dozen mosquitos in the vehicle-
But, the enviros have evidently won the war and stopped the treatments by the town, so its back to primitive times when mankind got eaten to death by hoards of mosquitos...

My mother’s uncle used to tell me, “I’ve had my arms soaked with DDT spray (diluted in water), and I’m still here!”
He told me that when he was 87. He lived to 88, but had tripped backwards getting off his lawnmower, hitting his head and dying from brain damage.
In all my years of farming with livestock, the cattle oiler (that they would rub against) and the summertime corralling and spraying the herd with approved pesticides, worked quite well...
And,... pour on ivermectin.
It’s still made and used in India, to control malaria. You’d think that if the cartels can smuggle in cocaine, meth, and fentanyl by the ton, they could smuggle in a little DDT now and then, just as a public service. Improve their public image, y’know?
