The Gen Z college grad who made headlines after tearfully sharing her struggles adjusting to a nine-to-five job on TikTok has recently been laid off with no emergency fund.
Brielle Asero, who lives in New Jersey, revealed that she lost her first post-grad job, a position that took her five months to secure, in a recent video that has garnered over 500,000 views.
'I got laid off from my first post-grad job - the one that took me five months to find, and for which I moved to New York City,' she said, adding that it's not her fault.
The University of South Carolina alum said she doesn't have an emergency fund because 'everything goes toward living expenses, commute, and everything else.'
The layoff comes after she broke down in tears in October, sharing her struggles to find time for a life outside of her four-hour round commute and long workdays.

How it ended.
She will be a Cam girl soon.
Feel sorry for this country.
There’s always prostitution.
Ahem.
The chick’s going to singlehandedly bring back rings.
Only Fans pays better these days, and less chance of disease.
I suspect the four-hour commute was a big part of it. Nine or ten hours at work plus four hours traveling does take more than half the day, and if you count sleeping, there’s very little time left.
I would have advised this young lady to get an easier job in a less glamorous industry. Not everyone is cut out for this kind of job, and startups can be brutal. The company may be a complete mess, and you have to almost invent your own job in competition with others doing the same thing. Only very unusually talented recent graduates would be able to operate in an environment like this.
She will make big profits in every divorce so she will be OK starting with her first marriage.
“prostitution”
Hard work—and the pimps don’t take well to slackers...
Lol.
Maybe if we hadn’t sent our jobs out of the country, she would be able to find another job. No generation has been betrayed by their elders as badly as the young generations of today were betrayed by their elders.
Is she a ring theorist?
Of course, the trash comments about her are pouring in, from the usual posters.
She lost her job by being lazy, entitled and posting her grievances on TikTok.
She needs to look in the mirror and blame herself.

She had choices. She still does. So stfu whiner
She thought we’d pay off her student loans, too. LOL!
Broke and unemployed in NYC. That’s really got to suck. Get out, dear. Cut your losses and get the hell out.
I’ll grant that posting her grievances on TikTok wasn’t a very bright move, but was it her generation that sent all of our jobs out of the country before she was even born? Was it her generation that chose cheap foreign labor over American Vets and her generation? Was it her generation that allowed themselves to be dragged into one for profit war after another that our lying government had no intention of winning? She isn’t the only one who needs to look in the mirror.
If I were starting out in these uncertain times, I don't think I would seek work in a cut-throat, expensive place like NYC. I think I might try to establish myself in a cheaper area, where commutes are more reasonable. Some place like ... South Carolina.
She’ll do fine with her MRS degree.
