It reminds me of the effort Europeans put into creating salt mines- some of those are absolutely amazing, and they were dug out with hand tools.

Yep, a whole lot of dirt went somewhere.
Where did they get the engineering expertise? That doesn’t make sense. Their populace for the most part are of just 6th grade level intelligence. I’m assuming, of course! Iran likely sent engineers there for the work as they are not a backward country - highly educated and intelligent..We saw that when so many came here in the late ‘70’s..
One of those early pictures from the video reminded me of the length of the Douglas Aircraft facility in Santa Monica when I worked there in the late ‘50’s. The one in the video that covered the whole area, not the narrow passage ones.
I saw only one end of the Douglas facility but never the other end and that was when we clocked in/out and then to our offices. Must have covered a city block...
I dont think these creeps had a brain cell in buiding them but some one did and they had over 3000 years to do it.
There has to be some sort of massive ventilation system to get oxygen that deep yes?
