Losing QB Travis was what kept FSU from the CFP.
Not sure about the 2nd and 3rd stringers they were forced to use.
Rather see a team left out of the CFP than be embarrassed like TCU was last year.

And, as *almost* everyone knows by now, the loss of a key player is supposed to be taken into account in the decision making process. That's not just talking-head opinion but something written in the CFP text!

Suppose Alabama’s qb gets injured early in the win against Georgia? Would Alabama be kicked out?
Alabama team and coaches need to step up....refuse the appointment to the Playoff and let FSU in in honor of sportsmanship. That would be better PR than winning the championship.
