Yes as I said he gave great detail to people who hate the US - our nominal enemies.

The American people like you are blissfully ignorant of the real damage he did. Just as you remain blissfully unaware of the fact that the information was in you local library for decades. Its been public knowledge that NSA collects every thing electronic since the 1950s - You also have a right to be totally ignorant of SGINT, ELINT, and HUMINT.

No one in Russia or China gives a damn about meta data from US phones - they have their own methods and means of collecting that data.

What the American people were blissfully ignorant of was the details of how the NSA spied on them—and continues to do so to this day.

There may have been a few nerds digging deep in the sub-sub-sub basement of Widener library or obscure corners of the Internet that put together the pieces of the “Puzzle Palace” but that information was not widely known.

The government declared war on the American people—Russia, Russia, Russia was a cover story.
