Russian occupants have taken more than 2,400 Ukrainian children to Belarus from the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. These are children from the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions. Russia’s systematic efforts to deport and as they call it ‘re-educate’ Ukrainian children are coordinated personally by Putin with Lukashenko. The Ukrainian prosecutor’s office together with the International Criminal Court is investigating the forced deportation of overall 19,546 Ukrainian children. Day 633 of the russian full-scale military aggression against Ukraine has begun.
The russian federation continues to ignore the laws and customs of warfare, using the terror tactics, launching missile and air strikes, and firing multiple launch rocket systems not only at the military, but also at numerous civilian targets across Ukraine.
During the day of November 17, russian occupants launched 1 air strike on Ukraine, using Shahed-136/131 attack UAVs. The Ukrainian air defense destroyed 9 attack UAVs. Also last night, russian occupants launched yet another air strike on Ukraine. Information on the aftermath of this terrorist attack is currently being updated.
During the day of November 17, there were 67 combat engagements. The enemy launched a total of 1 missile and 37 air strikes, 41 MLRS attacks at the positions of Ukrainian troops and various settlements. Unfortunately, the russian terrorist attacks have wounded civilians. Residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed or damaged.
Air strikes hit Kupyansk (Kharkiv oblast), Pobjeda, Novomykhailivka, Vodyane, Urozhaine (Donetsk oblast), Novodanylivka (Zaporizhzhia oblast), and Tyahynka (Kherson oblast).
More than 100 settlements in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, and Mykolayiv oblasts came under artillery fire.
Pivnich operational-strategic group, VOLYN and POLISSYA AXIS: no significant changes.
SIVERSHCHYNA and SOBOZHANSHCHYNA AXIS: the adversary maintains its military presence in the areas of russia bordering Ukraine. The enemy troops conduct active subversive activities in order to prevent the deployment of Ukrainian troops to threatened axes. The adversary increases the density of minefields along the state border in Belgorod oblast (russia).
Khortytsia operational-strategic group, KUPYANSK AXIS: the enemy conducted assault operations in the vicinities of Synkivka, Petropavlivka, and Ivanivka (Kharkiv oblast), where Ukrainian soldiers repelled 4 attacks.
LYMAN AXIS: the adversary conducted unsuccessful assault operations north of Serebryanka (Donetsk oblast).
BAKHMUT AXIS: the Ukrainian defenders repelled 11 attacks of the occupiers in the vicinities of Vasyukivka, Klishchiivka, and Andriyivka (Donetsk oblast). In turn, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue assault operations south of Bakhmut (Donetsk oblast), inflict losses in manpower and equipment on the enemy, and consolidate their new positions.
Tavria operational-strategic group, AVDIYIVKA AXIS: the adversary keeps trying to encircle Avdiyivka. The Ukrainian soldiers are standing their AXIS and inflicting major losses on the invaders. The occupiers’ offensive operations near Keramik, east of Novobakhmutivka, Stepove, Avdiyivka, and south of Tonenke (Donetsk oblast) were unsuccessful. The Ukrainian Forces repelled 23 attacks in that area.
MARYINKA AXIS: the enemy conducted unsuccessful assault operations in the vicinities of Maryinka and Novomykhailivka (Donetsk oblast). The Ukrainian soldiers repelled 21 attacks in that area.
SHAKHTARSKE AXIS: the invaders conducted assault operations south of Vodyane (Donetsk oblast), to no success.
ZAPORIZHZHIA AXIS: the adversary conducted unsuccessful assault operations near Robotyne and west of Verbove (Zaporizhzhia oblast). The Ukrainian defenders repelled 3 attacks in that area.
At the same time, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue their offensive operation on Melitopol axis, inflicting losses in manpower and equipment on the occupation forces, exhausting the enemy all along the front line.
Odesa operational-strategic group, Kherson axis: the Ukrainian soldiers conduct counter-battery fire and strike behind the enemy lines.
Ukrainian marines, together with other components of the Defense Forces, continue to hold positions on the left bank of the Dnipro River, where they repelled 12 enemy attacks during the day of November 17. The Ukrainian defenders are consolidating their positions and inflicting fire damage on the occupiers.
During the day of November 17, Ukrainian Air Force launched 10 air strikes on the concentrations of troops, weapons and military equipment, and 2 air strikes on anti-aircraft missile systems of the adversary.
The Ukrainian missile troops hit 3 concentration of troops, weapons and military equipment, 6 artillery systems, 1 air defense system, 1 command post, and 1 ammunition depot of the russian invaders.
