he 72nd annual Miss Universe pageant will take place on Saturday in El Salvador. Eighty-four women from all over the world are competing for the pageant world's biggest crown. The contestants include lawyers, models, and artists. The Miss Universe competition is a celebration of global pageant winners, bringing together the best of the best for the ultimate crown.
The 2023 pageant will take place on Saturday in El Salvador, and current Miss Universe R'Bonney Gabriel — who claimed the title after a controversial Miss USA win — will crown the new queen.

I hate to ask but in these modern times we have to ask certain questions.
Among those are:
are all of these contestants women?
were they born female?
have they always been female?
do they positively identify as female?

Anyways, I think it’s actually great this is done.
No different than couples that dance and compete, or guys that do MMA, boys in football in school. My daughter was a cheerleader and I could see how this positively impacted her.
It’s good to have ideals and strive for perfection, to want to better yourself. To use the old Army slogan “Be all you can be.”
All this embracing failure crap in our society is literally racing to the bottom. Fat acceptance, participation awards, crybaby snowflake losers! Sorry to say it like that, but yes, LOSERS.
No one wins all the time. But a real loser doesn’t even try out of fear of failing or the pressure of competition. What the loser doesn’t realize that in the end you really are just competing against yourself and while it is nice to win and be #1, even if you fall short, just putting in the effort and doing your best makes you a —FAR— better human being as you pursue true goals of perfection in beauty, knowledge, spirit, physical performance...
Somewhere along the way it has become a bad thing to want to be the best you can be, to be successful.
